Summary

Probably the worst company i have ever dealt with. My experience is as follows :

05.10.08 - I ordered some memory, which was listed as in stock, even though it apparently wwasn't

07.10.08 - I received an email from them saying product was out of stock and there would be a delay of 5-7 days.

24.10.08 - After more than 7 days I emailed them to find out what was going on.

24.10.08 - They replied to my email by saying that there had been a 'technical problem' and they thought the order had been
dispatched, and told me to allow a couple more days for delivery.

I waited.

02.11.08 - 6 working days later - I emailed them to say that if it had not yet been dispatched as promised i wanted my order to be cancelled.

03.11.08 - They ignored my request for the order to be cancelled and fobbed me of with an excuse that the order had been 'lost in transit' and said they had posted some more out to me which i should receive in 2-5 days

04.11.08 - I received a returns note and replacement order for some reason with no explaination

11.11.08 - I emailed them ONCE AGAIN to complain and tell them that if my order has not yet been dispatched or has been ' lost in transit' again, to cancel my order and refund my money.

12.11.08 - I received an email to say that the products i ordered A MONTH AGO are now out of stock again and i need to contact them - The memory is still currently showing as 'in stock' on their website!

12.11.08 - I sent them an email to cancel my order and to tell them that i was going to refer them to trading standards, and the OFT. I received no reply

13.11.08 - I sent another email with the same threat to their questions@memorybits.co.uk address. According to their site this should have been answered in 15 minutes or less. I never received a reply.

14.11.08 - I rang them and was told that a manager needed to deal with the issue. I explained that i had sent an email to the 'questions' address and that if he read that he would see all correspondences. I was told that they no longer use the 'questions' address even though it is plastered all over their website. I verbally requested for my order to be cancelled, i couldn't be bothered to speak to the guy about compensation that i should be owed.

Time will tell if i receive my money back - Others do not seem to have received their refunds.

Do not use this company. They are the most dishonest company i have had the mispleasure of dealing with. . . and i still never got the product i ordered!

Ordered some memory modules at Wednesday. Modules were at stock as per MB website. Despite that MB adverts with "next day shipment" I did not receive any modules neither any mail about any delay. I send a mail asking and was informed that the modules were to ship only at Monday. After further waiting time the on-line chat informed me that the modules were to dispatch Tuesday. Several mails send to MB were never answered.
The modules were received Friday only - 9 days after ordering,
Due to this severe delay the modules were returned.
A few days after I had returned the modules I received a mail confirming receipt. After 14 days my card had not yet been credited thus I asked for an update only to be told "we will inform you once we credit you". 2 weeks later I had still not received and only after another reminder did MB promise to credit my card (still waiting to see it actually happen)

CONCLUSION: Avoid doing any trade with Memorybits. It might be that MB are selling some stuff at fair prices but they have no after sale service at all. They do not reply to they a-mails. They do not process orders or returns within a reasonable time and do not reply to mails send to them.
Life is too short doing business and have the problems with Memorybits - with so many reliable traders on the net.

After having bought a new Samsung Tocco, I was looking for 8GB Micro SD memory for it. I discovered memorybits and bought memory, bluetooth headset and car charger for it. I got offered a free delivery and the products reached me within a couple of days!! Thanks to Memorybits for the incredible buying experience.

My fourth time ordering with memorybits - faultless service and the prices are excellent. Ordered a new memory card for my camera and a pro duo stick for my boyfriends PSP. Ordered on the wednesday and they arrived on the friday. Have recommended and will continue to recommend to my friends, family and colleagues!
