After seeing the What hifi review on the Sony KDL32V4000 I went to Richer Sounds London Bridge store after checking for the best price on Pricerunner. I paid £319.99 and although initially skeptical when the sales guy tried to sell me an extended warranty, at £32 for 5 years I couldn't believe it was so cheap so took that too. The shop was quite busy but despite that I was really pleased with advice I was given and I didn't feel rushed. I have purchased from Richers before and would definitely do so again.

I have puchased almost all my Hi-Fi and TV requirments from three of the Richer Sounds stores over the last 3 years and I shall continue to do so. I like the the wide range of chioce and product layout, but most of all I think their staff are great. I will only dicuss my purchases with suitably traned and technically prepared staff and have no time for sales orientated juniors such as you find in other stores.
My most recent purchase has been a Philips 26" TVand Sony DVD recorder / player combo.from these people.though I had gone with the intention of buying a Samsun TV and undecided on the DVD. The young man there answered all of my questions and later by phone , helped me to install the equipment and associated items such as Sky and Wii.
My only criticism I have ---and I have mentioned it to them on more than one occasion , is their telepone system / arrangement. Very often they are engaged ,or you get an unconvincing message abourt being busy! However this "weakness" doesn't detract from their over-all performance and service which I have always received and which has been excellent.

I am looking to but the new Sony KDL40W4500 at an Internet price with a 3/5 year warranty. Richer Sounds in Weybridge were direct and to the point. They told me that the product was not in stock and that they were expecting a delivery to their main warehouse within 2 weeks. They were polite and yes they did offer to tell me about other products with similar specification and within the same price range which I declined and said that I had researched the Sony KDL 40W4500 and wanted this specific product. They understood this and asked whether I wanted to be contacted by phone as and when the product became available, which I have agreed to. I think they have been honest and professional, and NO am not an employee of Richer Sounds, and yes I am looking to spend my money wisely.
What I really want to know is who the underwriter is for the extended warranty. I have lost out twice on extended warranties that I have taken out with purchases from two well branded companies that have gone bust in the past 4 years. I am looking forward to hearing from Richer Sounds as to when I can take delivery of the Television.

First of all, many apologies for the erratic supply of the Sony KDL40W4500; we love Sony, but unfortunately we were let down on delivery of this product, due presumably to overwhelming demand of this very popular product. The good news is they are in stock now! But please, as usual, phone first as stock is moving quickly. Richer Sounds' extended warranty is underwritten by Richer Sounds, because no underwriter could offer the service we offer for the price, only 10% of the purchase price. Richer sounds is a very financially stable company and there is far more chance of the Bank of England falling at the moment!

Advertising cheap prices but you call the stores. I tried 3 of them in the local area.

Not in stock and seemed like a running joke with the staff.

Hints of false advertising me thinks. Not happy!!!!

Unfortunately this complaint is a little vague, with no model number specified. We do have over 50,000 TVs in stock and are only too aware that it is not good customer service, nor good business, to advertise products that aren’t available. Availability of all lines on our website is good unless clearly described as ‘Last few to clear’ or ‘Stocks erratic’, the latter happening when suppliers can’t meet our stock demands. Customers having difficulty sourcing advertised stock can contact our customer call centre customerservices@richersounds.com who will do their best to help, as we definitely want your business!

Basically looks like FALSE advertising to me.
I phoned first store to be told they only had 1 display model which was reserved, then asked for other store phone no`s and coincidently ALL stores I phoned( 4 in all) had sold the new one listed but ALL had an ex display which again coincedently was reserved. They asked why i wanted an old model and even though I had a independent Which report saying it was a good tv they all tryed to say it was rubbish and all offered alternative NON Panasonic tv`s BASICALLY USELESS!!

Having investigated this complaint thoroughly along with other similar complaints recently received, they all relate to a peculiar anomaly where Pricerunner was picking up items from our clearance list which by definition are only available in small quantities from certain stores. These products from now on will not be picked up by Pricerunner, but for exact availability of these amazing bargains please refer to our website. Availability of all new lines is unaffected and is generally excellent. Again please refer to our website for up-to-date information.
