CommentsI did a cost comparison on the Epson Stylus DX8450. Currys plus some other retailers were selling at the same price and with free delivery if no specific time for delivery was requested. I decided to buy from Currys because they had a more comprehensive specification of the product together with a free cable that I was not sure I would need until I received the printer. As it happened I did not need the cable but neither did it cost me anything. I was extremely impressed with the delivery which was a normal 5 day delivery but it arrived almost by return of order.

CommentsDelivery drivers phoned about 40 minutes before they arrived to inform us of their due time of arrival. I was very impressed by this as it enabled us to be ready for them so delivery was quick and easy. They were also good embassadors for Curry's as they were polite and efficient.

CommentsThe only real problem was that the model of washing machine that I wanted was delivered by the supplier (Miele) who don't deliver to where I live (Northern Ireland), so I had to order a different model which Currys had on home delivery, and thankfully did deliver to me. The delivery was prompt and the deliver people where friendly and business-like. There was some confusion with a form for a free five year guarantee which was supposed to come with the washing machine, but a phone call to customer services sorted that out (the form had to be downloaded from the Miele website.) On the whole I'm very pleased, and would certainly order from Currys again.

CommentsEverything was fine with ordering, delivery etc but I am a little disappointed with the actual product itself - the picture is not brilliant and the sound quality very tinny. It is basically quite cheap, and you get what you pay for! Incidentally, it has nothing to do with reception as I have just had a new TV aerial with booster fitted and my other two digital sets (a Sony and a Toshiba - both brand new) have superb picture and sound quality. I would use Currys again but would not buy this make again.

CommentsWe went into our local store to have a look at the item before we placed the order,as we wanted to look at the item and the staff at the local store were offering the same free delivery and old item removal as the web-site,which I felt gave a good continuity,not the usual "well...that's only the web-site ,nothing to do with us.....!" you can sometimes get with companies.
I did, however ,decide to place my order on line for simplicity and I felt the web-site was easy to use,I had lots of correspondence,via email after my order had been placed.
It was simple to access the details the day before to find out my 4 hour delivery slot.
The delivery driver rang when the were nearby,to say they were likely to deliver within the next 30 mins,they were polite and helpful when they arrived.
I liked the delivery price(zero!) and the fact that they took away my old item.
I would definitely use/recomend Currys again.

CommentsOrder my item from Currys online, The item was delievered by the manufacture and its great. The service was also good, just a tad slow to get it, ie. 2 weeks from order to del aprox. Everything else fine. just wish I could order from my local store at the same price as the service at my Blackpool superstore is much better, they afterall helped me choose my product.

Good choice of dates for delivery and I was kept informed about the progression of the delivery, which was very helpful. The delivery itself went very smoothly - what more could you ask for?

CommentsLast year I purchased a DVD Recorder with a hard drive from the Leamington Spa branch of Currys. The sales person who attended to me had an air of indifference, a take it or leave it attitude. Later in the year I bought a 32" television from the same store - same attitude. In addition the person who trollied the appliance to the car virtually threw the box into the car. I thanked him politely, he walked away without a word. I decided never to shop at Currys again. I am new to online shopping. After comparing prices online, I relented and ordered a dishwasher - what a contrast. The politeness and attention, from placing the order to delivery was excellent. When I placed the order, quoted delivery was up to 14 days if in stock, the appliance was delivered in about 7 days and I was kept informed of progress by email. Delivery was bang on the time slot quoted, the delivery guys were polite and jolly, and they even took my old appliance away - a service I was unaware of. Please pass on my thanks to all concerned, and to quote a well known saying I'll be back. ps. All they need to do now is develop the same attitude in the stores as their sister company PC World.

CommentsNo online stock information - poor.
Ordered Thursday, still not dispatched following Monday, cancelled order - too slow - don't want to have to chase order by phone - suspect no stock.
Website poor, it asked for password confirmation on one option (pretending good security) but allowed change of password without re-requesting current password!!
Password confirmation prompt didn't work. Site signup allows mixed case passwords - password confirmation did not accept mixed case password so couldn't look at order details (no help anyway). Changed password to all lower case and password confirmation prompt worked. What rubbish, sack the web development team. Mentioned this problem in e-mail to currys (although at the time I didn't know about mixed case problem) but still haven't had a reply - shows how much they care!
Couldn't cancel order online. Had to phone expensive 0844 number and listen to claptrap to cancel order. Then took 3 days to cancel.
Took money from credit card on day of purchase - should take this on dispatch.

Summary - rubbish site, rubbish customer service, rubbish Company. Has been for years and apparently hasn't changed. Won't use this site again, but will attempt to delete my details (some hope).

went to basket, out of stock, no probs-left it,on currys website around a week later, see the same deal,so onto basket no mention of no stock, orders said tv at £556,a week later email from currys telling me tv is not available also asking if i would like to browse for a substitute product, "no thank you" in my opinion not the correct way to run a website, make sure you have the stock if you advertise it, if not it looks like a scam,!!! NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!!

CommentsFirst class experience and just wish all on-line sellers met their promises in the same way. From starting the product search on Curry's webpage to the installation was simple and troublefree with the process completed to my full satisfaction within days of placing the order. Taking away the old cooker unit for disposal was much appreciated. Have used Curry's on-line before and will certainly do so again.

Delivery was late i.e. outside of your 4 hour slot and not informed of late delivery. After a telephone call the operator could not contact the delivery men hence I was left not knowing when it would arrive.
Not a pleasant experience.

CommentsI found it very easy to order online and Currys response via email. The four hour slot was very useful as it's a pain having to wait in all day. The items were delivered within that four hour slot and the men took away my old machine without charging like some companies do. Also the free delivery was a bonus, once the item or items were ordered there was no other cost...first rate.

CommentsThere is little more to upset a customer than sites which advertise a product as "in stock" when in reality they are out of stock of a particular item. I cannot believe that in the age of computerisation how any trader is unable to be unaware of their stock levels.

I eventually purchased a more expensive camera from another supplier, resolving not to return to Currys.

CommentsWe visited the Aintree Currystore and saw the product we wanted, but they could not arrange delivery in our area, so it was agreed that we should purchase on line. The Currys website offered free collection of the old fridge-freezer but not free delivery. When I then went to compare prices, I found that via the Pricerunner site free delivery was also available. It is curious that Pricerunner offered free delivery which was not available on the Currys site.
I placed the order and specified a day for delivery, only later to remember that we would be away that day, and phoned to change it. The call centre could not make the change, because, although the receipt of the order had been emailed to me, the delivery number was not on it. The LDC number was not emailed to me for 22 hours, so that the delivery had to be delayed by a day rather than brought forward.
It was useful to be able to establish the day before delivery in what timeslot the delivery would be made, and this was done in the last hour of the slot.

CommentsI am disgusted with the service so far. I AM STILL WAITING FOR DELIVERY of the Fridge Freezer I ordered. Tried to contact customer services - completely unhelpful and show no interest or concern that I still have not received my item and most importantly they can provide no delivery information at all - NOTHING!!! Cannot tell me when I should receive it, Cannot tell me when it will come in, Just say nothing is guaranteed and they cannot do anything else - DISGUSTING!!!!!!
I am so frustrated and frankly very annoyed at this horrendous lack of information, contact with me and zero customer service.
CURRYS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

CommentsThe first time I tried to order, the web site semmed stuck when I tried to enter my expiry date from my debit card. I was thoroughly fed up. However I went on a price comparison site and the link to Curry's website seemed to show up slightly differnet when it came to the entering of the expiry date. No idea how. So once I ordered the fridge, the customer service was excellent. The team of two men were friendly and efficient.

CommentsPoor/complicated choice of delivery times & dates on web. The text statements did not align with the tick options. One should be able to specify morning or afternoon on a slection of dates. It is not reasonable to have to be available all day on each of the chosen dates.
Customer service person was very helpful in changing the allotted delivery date.
The delivery men were very obliging and cheerful despite having to haul my fridge up to a second floor flat. I think they should be provided with some sort of aids to do this, not just brute strength!

CommentsPaid for dishwasher connection, man said my drainage pipe was wrong size and needed an adapter.
Had to get plumber costing £60, who found adapter inside machine with instructions.
I can't believe the delivery engineer didn't know this.
This has put me off buying from Currys again.
